Jordan Peele unveils the poster for his next film titled 'US'
Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, and Winston Duke, are in talks to star in Peele’s latest 'Nightmare'
The recently crowned Oscar-winner unveiled the poster for his next film titled US. The subtle but ominous first poster reveals two abstract silhouettes along with the words ‘New Nightmare’ printed across the top. Take my money!
Peele, who will once again direct from his own script, shared details back in February saying Us should resemble Get Out in both tone and in the genre, but will be "something completely different." Sources close to THR now confirm Peele’s script is said to be a "social thriller" that centers on two couples, one white, one black – with one of the couples featuring a reunion between Black Panther’s Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong’o, while Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaids Tale) would play part of the other couple.
Us is slated for release March 15, 2019 and will be distributed by Universal. Of course, if writing and directing duties weren’t enough, Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will also co-produce along with Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions. Talk about a powerhouse duo.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. 2019 is going to be an amazing year in film.
