Joss Whedon Would Return for a 'Black Widow' Solo Film
Joss Whedon has come out at SDCC when speaking to IGN to reveal that he would return to Marvel to helm a Black Widow solo film.
“Well, if somebody pointed at me and said, ‘Do you want to make a Black Widow movie,’ the answer would be ‘duh’ for two reasons.”
He calls the character :very interesting and very earthbound, so it's kind of action that I got to do less of. Somebody like Thor [and] the Vision, when you get into your 'Superman' territory, it's harder to maintain that sort of gritty action."
Whedon said he'd like to do a spiy thriller. "Like, really do a good, paranoid sort of John le Carre on-crack kind of thing. That would be really fun." He adds that he is fond of Scarlett Johansson, and calls her delightful, .
"She works really hard, but she just spends most of her time cracking me up."
Whether there will be a Black Widow film thrown into the slate feels like it's only a matter of time, but we'll have to wait and see.
