Justice League Gets a Working Title that May Allude to Film's Villain
With a production kick-off date of April 11, the wheels are definitely spinning on the DC universe despite what some reports might have suggested.
Now, a working title for the production has been revealed. While listing casting information in London, Acting-Auditions have listed the film as being titled Caveman. Often, these titles won't have a whole lot to do with the film itself. That being said, it's a curious choice.
Given that Star Wars: Episode 8 recently announced its working title as Space Bear, Caveman seems like less of an accident and more thoughtful.
Now we can consider that the title could hint at Vandal Savage, an immortal DC villain who was originally a caveman named Vandar Adg, who lived in 50,000 BC. A meteorite crashed nearby the character's tribe, and the radiation enhanced Vandar's intellect and gave him immortality.
While Darkseid has certainly been hinted at in recent times, he may well be saved for 2019's Justice League Part Two. Savage is currently playing a major role in CW's Legends of Tomorrow, which could be considered a testing phase to see how audiences respond to the villain.
Justice League: Part One (Or, ) is set for a November 17, 2017 release.
