Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill Will Reprise Their Roles for Batman: The Killing Joke
The famous duo, regarded as synonymous in the roles of Batman and the Joker, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are confirmed to return for the animated adaptation of Batman: The Killing Joke.
The two voice actors have both in recent times announced retirement from the roles, but over the years they have both voiced their enthusiasm towards this particular story. They will be joined by Tara Strong, who will voice Barbara Gordon, and Ray Wise, who will play Commissioner Gordon.
"The chance to work again with Kevin Conroy, my favourite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true to me," Hamill told CBR. "I am beyond thrilled to return as the Joker in 'The Killing Joke!'"
The famous comic book was written by Alan Moore, who wrote other classics Watchmen and V for Vendetta. The two actors behind Batman and Joker have been in the roles since Batman: The Animated Series, which began over 20 years ago.
Kevin Conroy added his say: "I've had the great privilege of voicing Batman for more than two decades, and some of my favourite moments in the recording booth have been alongside Mark Hamill. Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I'm thrilled that we're both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time."
