Kim Coates Definitively Closes the Book on 'Sons of Anarchy': "It's Over"
Ever since Sons of Anarchy came to an end back in 2014, fans have petitioned for its survival. But Kim Coates has added his voice to a number of those involved with the series to confirm that the series is done and dusted.
"I think the show got ultra-violent at the end. I don't even know who we were killing anymore in that show. I am so thankful that during the course of the show that there was enough for me to do and the rest of the cast to do. I loved it all the way to the end."
The series ran for seven seasons and 92 episodes, and Coates gave his view to ComicBook.com, saying that “Kurt Sutter did an amazing job at wrapping that baby up in seven years, 92 episodes, just the way he and President of FX, John Landgraf wanted it.”
In any case, a spin-off is in the works set to follow the Mayans Motorcycle Club. Though it won't feature any of the established favourites, it will be a “dark, visceral family drama that takes a new look at the most American of icons, the 1% outlaw, this time reflected through a Latino lens," according to Sutter.
