Kit Harington to Play the Villain in the Next 'Call of Duty' Game
Activision has announced that Game of Thrones' Kit Harington will play the villain in the studio's highly anticipated video game Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Infinite Warfare is the latest in a long line of enormously successful games in the franchise. The story for the new game takes place in the distant future, as the nations of Earth have united to form the United Nations Space Alliance with the goal of colonizing new planets. Players will face off against a hostile faction of humans called the Settlement Defense Front.
Harington follows on from Kevin Spacey, who played the big bad in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Harington will play the "embodiment" of the Settlement Defense Front. The news follows whispers of a project Harington had yet to reveal to fans.
Filming for season 7 of Game of Thrones commences at the end of next month, so the actor has plenty of time to regrow his beard - which he shaved off for the role and which initially sparked questions of a new project.
