'La La Land' Heads Up Critics Choice Awards Nominations
Award season is just about upon us, and nominations are starting to leak out from various institutions. Now, the critics are putting in their votes. The Broadcast Film Critics Association have thrown 12 nominations the way of La La Land.
These nominations include Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Score, and two Best Song nominations for “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” and “City of Stars.”
Moonlight and Arrival also got their fair share of love, with ten nominations each. Arrival is looking like a particularly hopeful contender for the awards season, an impressive feat given its status as a genre film (not to say that these don't deserve recognition, they just aren't part of the conversation as often.)
