'Labyrinth of Lies' is Germany's Contender for Foreign Language Oscar
Germany has selected 'Labyrinth of Lies' by first-time director Giulio Ricciarelli for contention in the Foreign Language category of 2016's Oscars ceremony.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2014 and Sony was quick to pick it up for a North American release. It stars Alexander Fehling, who is most notable for his role in 'Inglourious Basterds'. The actor is also set to play a role in 'Homeland' season 5.
'Labyrinth of Lies' follows a 1950s prosecutor who, against orders from the government and widespread public opinion, targets Nazi war criminals in an effort to bring them to justice.
