'Lights Out' Pushes Up Past $100 Million Worldwide
With The Conjuring 2 and The Purge being successful horror installments, Lights Out completes the trifecta in a popular summer for the at time ailing genre.
New Line and Warner Bros. can celebrate a $100 million global take for Lights Out, another milestone to go alongside the $300 million take for The Conjuring sequel. Lights Out only cost $5 million to put together before marketing factors in.
The film sits at $63.1 million in the U.S. Next up in the horror world from Warner Bros. is Annabelle 2, which comes out May 19 2017. Sandberg will direct that film and Wan is producing, continuing the successful collaboration from Lights Out.
