Lionsgate finds a Writer for its Borderlands Film Adaptation
Via THR, writer Aaron Berg has reportedly been tapped to write the script for Lionsgate's Borderlands film. Berg has previously penned drafts for G.I. Joe and spy thriller Section 6.
The first action-RPG installment of the Borderlands game series dropped in 2009, with its sequel and "pre-sequel" arriving in 2012 and 2014. The series is developed by Gearbox Software.
The film is being produced by Avi Arad and his son Ari Arad, and the outlet is describing the picture as "Mad Max in space." The film is expected to target an R-rating with the MPAA.
