Luther Creator Adapting Tom Ripley Books for TV
Patricia Highsmith's Tom Ripley novels are heading to TV, and Luther creator Neil Cross has been tapped to write.
The project has been in development at Endemol Shine Studios for a year, and there's plenty of material to work from. There are five novels in the series, written over the course of more than 20 years. (The final book came 11 years after the fourth).
The series follows the suave but amoral Ripley, who travels the world, visiting some of the most beautiful cities in Europe. His sexuality stirred plenty of controversy during the series publication.
