Worst Representation: Any Given Sunday

This was a potentially fantastic movie that didn’t deliver. The football sequences were among the most poorly-played of any football movie in recent memory. The scenes of the players partying, taking drugs and romancing woman are far fetched, and totally out of proportion. As for the editing; phenomenal job, if you’re watching an MTV music video. After 162 minutes of quick cut editing, you feel nauseous and have the biggest of headaches. Overall, Any Given Sunday fundamentally has a weak script that is poorly executed on screen. The only good part of this film is Al Pacino’s motivational speech but even Pacino’s speech can’t save this howler.
