Zachary Quinto shows emotion as Spock

Rational and pointy-eared Spock is showing more of his human side in Star Trek Into Darkness. Exploring his relationship with Zoe Saldana as Uhura and his always evolving friendship with Kirk.

When he puts on his volcano suit to visit the hot core of planet Nibiru, he has his first confrontation with Kirk and the crew. He tells them he’s willing to die to complete the mission. And when they all disagree he tells them: “You think I make this choice lightly, but I promise you I don’t.”
