'Making a Murderer' Duo to Adapt 'America's Most Admired Lawbreaker'
Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos certainly garnered plenty of publicity from their Making a Murderer series, which emphasised Steven Avery, who had been imprisoned for 18 years for sexual assault and attempted murder.
Now, the duo are looking to a new story to tell. Variety reports that they will adapt America's Most Admired Lawbreaker, which derives from a series of Huffington Post articles that went into detail on the ethically questionable division inside of Johnson & Johnson that lead the marketing of an anti-psychosis drug without disclosing many of its painful side effects.
Yahoo reports that this series will take a new approach to Making a Murderer, trading documentary for scripted format, and George Clooney and Grant Heslov are producing through Smokehouse Pictures.
