Mark Mothersbaugh Composing the Musical Score for 'Thor: Ragnarok'
Former DEVO bandleader Mark Mothersbaugh, whose credits include The Royal Tenenbaums, The Lego Movie, and 21 Jump Street, is set to compose the score for Thor: Ragnarok.
His compositions tend to fall into the playful regions of musical sounds as opposed to the bombast and dramatic sounds of your average superhero film, so expect the latest Thor film to be infused with a sense of wonder.
The film is directed by Taika Waititi, who helmed Hunt for the Wilderpeople. There's every chance Thor could be a light-hearted, adventurous affair, but it could also do those things well.
It opens November 3, 2017.
