Martin Scorcese Schedule May Include Leonard Bernstein Biopic
Paramount has built a long working relationship with the acclaimed director, and is now lining up a host of projects for Scorcese to helm.
One of those projects is a potential Leonard Berstein biopic. Bernstein has a resume filled with classic works as a famous composer, for films such as West Side Story and Candide.
While the project has not been green lit yet, Josh Singer will write the screenplay, hot off of working on Spotlight, a drama that is coming next month but has already garnered considerable buzz.
Two other films have been outlined in this Paramount-Scorcese deal that will see him matched up with various headline actors (Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Leonardo Di Caprio). These are titled The Irishman and The Devil in the White City.
