Marvel and Netflix's 'Iron Fist' Casts Game of Thrones Star in Main Role
The Defenders team has been rounded out, with the fourth and final member of the quartet officially cast.
Iron Fist will be played by Game of Thrones star Finn Jones, who is admittedly easier to miss than some of the more integral characters on the show.
Jones plays Loras Tyrell, who last we saw ended up in a jail cell beneath the Sept of Baelor. Jones will play Daniel Rand, who eventually becomes the kung-fu-skilled Iron Fist. Rand travels from New York to the mystical lost city of K'un-L'un with his family, but tragedy (of course) ensures he is adopted by the city's ruler and learns the mystic power of the Iron Fist.
Then he returns to the real world, puts on a mask, and fights bad guys. Standard stuff. No official word has come out of Marvel or Netflix, however the report has been confirmed by EW. For now, the focus is surely on Luke Cage, before news of Iron Fist will start swirling.
