Marvel taking the reins Creatively for Spider-Man: Homecoming
In the deal between Sony and Marvel, it seems, at least for starters, Marvel is taking creative control in what is hopefully a long and fruitful relationship between studios.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed that Sony has handed all creative control over for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
"Well, I've known all those for very long. Amy Pascal, Tom Rothman who runs Sony now I've known for years, so it's been great, and they really are supportive in allowing us to make the creative decisions to make that movie, but they've been great partners, and uh, so far so good on that movie."
This will bring joy to many Marvel fans, who will rest assured knowing this film will slot seamlessly into the long-running Marvel universe. The film opens July 7, 2017.
