Matt Ryan is Back as Constantine for DC Animated Movie 'Justice League Dark'
Matt Ryan is returning to the role of John Constantine following his axing on NBC. The role, however, isn't what fans may have expected or hoped for.
Instead of making the jump into The CW's stocks, Ryan will voice the character in the upcoming, unrelated DC animated film Justice League Dark. While it won't be in live-action, fans should be willing to accept the voice talent of the actor as he brings his portrayal back to the character.
“I really wanted to jump into this project to play Constantine in a different context, around some of the iconic characters that are in the DC ‘dark’ world,” Ryan says in the sneak peek video released with Batman: The Killing Joke.
As of July 1, 2016, the entire season of Constantine is available through the CW Seed streaming service. The new film will come to DVD, Blu-rayy and Digital HD in Fall 2016.
