Megalyn Echikunwoke & Utkarsh Ambudkar Join Showtime Pilot 'White Famous'
Megalyn Echikunwoke and Utkarsh Ambudkar have joined Showtime's upcoming pilot White Famous, which hails from Jamie Foxx and Californication creator Tom Kapinos.
The series follows a talented, young African-American comedian whose star is rising, which forces him to juggle the effort of maintaining his credibility as he crosses over into "white fame."
Echikunwoke will play the protagonist's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son. She's described as the love of his life. Ambudkar will playy frustrated agent Malcolm, who simply wants his client to climb as high as possible.
Foxx will play a recurring role in the potential series.
