Michael Douglas to Return for Ant-Man and the Wasp
Michael Douglas' performance as Hank Pym in Ant-Man is one that gained particular love from fans and critics, despite him being a sound speaker for much of the film's exposition.
Addressing his role in the Ant-Man follow up, Douglas said "Now that I understand a bit more about Hank Pym too. I think in this one I had to carry a lot of plot and exposition.
"In the next one I hope things get a ltitle more bizarre... the Quantum Realm!"
Marvel often requires a long-term contract from its actors, but Douglas is not one of those actors. He has less interest in signing long-term contracts, a sentiment I'm sure many actors share.
"I'm not signed up to anything more. I've learned a whole lot and would look forward to more if it comes my way but if not I've enjoyed the experience".
Speaking with collider, Douglas has confirmed that he is in negotiations with Marvel. Already confirmed is director Peyton Reed, and the sequel to the surprise success has a July 5th, 2018 release date set.
