Michael Fassbender Describes Protagonist in Assassin's Creed
Justin Kurzel's Assassin's Creed adaptation finished up production yesterday, having begun last year and taking place at Pinewood Studios, London, as well as on location in Spain and Malta. As the film heads into post production, star Michael Fassbender has opened up on his leading man.
Speaking with the Wall Street Journal, Fassbender described main character Callum Lynch as "an outside" who has been "Institutionalised from his early teens." This leads him to death row, from which he is saved from thanks to his 15th century ancestor.
Fassbender also described Lynch as a "little bit of a lost soul," and connecting with his long dead ancestor helps him to "identify [his] lineage and where he comes from."
Due to a bizarre and unique hint, which you can read about here, we can expect a teaser trailer of some kind on March 25. The film is due out December 21 this year.
