Michelle Williams to Star in Jonah Hill's Directorial Debut 'Mid-'90s'
Four-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams is set to star as the mother of a troubled teen in Mid-90s, the directorial debut of Jonah Hill. Hill will direct and has also penned the script for the coming-of-age comedy.
The film follows Stevie, growing up in Los Angeles as he struggles with his family, which includes his co-dependent single mum and abusive older brother. When he meets a crew of skateboarders, he learns some difficult lessons about class, race, and privilege.
Recently, Williams has played roles in Blue Valentine, Meek's Cutoff, Certain Women, and Manchester by the Sea, the latter for which has earned her latest Oscar nomination. Mid-90s will shoot in June.
