'Mission: Impossible 5' announces more cast and looks to target Chinese market
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy actor Simon McBurney looks poised to become a member of the Mission: Impossible 5 cast in the near future. He’s entered talks to join the movie as the boss of Rebecca Ferguson‘s character. The film will be directed by Chris McQuarrie and so far stars Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Renner, and of course, Tom Cruise.
Another piece of casting news has linked the filmmakers looking to court the lucrative Chinese market after they announced casting local star Zhang Jingchu in a leading role opposite Tom Cruise.
This method of promoting China has been used in numerous big budget movies of late. Most recently, Transformers: Age of Extinction featured a lot of Chinese products, acting almost like a feature length advertisement for the country.
