Netflix and CW Reach a New Deal for 'Arrow,' 'Flash,' and More
A new, multi-year licensing deal has been reached between Netflix and the CW, which will see Netflix house past seasons exclusively of the CW's scripted series.
The deal covers popular DC Comics shows Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, as well as iZombie, Supernatural, The 100, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and upcoming 2016-2017 debuts Riverdale, Frequency, and No Tomorrow.
As rumoured previously, Netflix will have access to completed seasons much sooner, with those latest seasons debuting on the service just eight days after their respective finales on the network.
“Netflix members in the US love the great lineup of series from The CW, and we are thrilled to extend the relationship and bring those shows to our members exclusively now, just eight days after their season finales,” said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer at Netflix in a press release. “This is a great step forward with a valued network partner to give fans exactly what they want, when and how they want it.”
