New Details on Possible Villain in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
We will go to a galaxy far far away for the second straight year. The highly anticipated Star Wars spinoff story is starting to take shape.
'Making Star Wars' recently revealed some new details on a potential villain. The character is an older male wearing a white cape. The character is very important in the Empire. He is described to have an insanely cool weapon. Supposedly the name of the character is epic, but the source didn't reveal it.
The source confirmed he saw the character in two shots of the film. One has his cape trailing behind, in an ocean-like body of water. The second is where he walks through a huge group of assembled Stormtroopers.
The current thinking is Ben Mendelsohn plays the villain, but it isn't confirmed because there aren't enough details. Earlier reports suggested it was "A Moff-like character."
So with the crazy new knowledge of a "white caped" character in Rogue One, there are endless possibilities as to who the guy could be. We can't really pinpoint the character until further details become available. Most fans think the villain is going to be Grand Moff Tarkin. Did Moff refuse to wear the cape in the original Star Wars? Who knows? This new villain could be anything the theories make him until we know for sure.
