New 'Justice League' promo introduces the evolution of a new Batman
The latest promo comes courtesy of Japan's Warner Bros. Justice League site, and features our superheroes Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher introducing themselves and their characters to Japanese audiences. Notably missing was both Henry Cavill and his sweet 'stache.
The sixty-second promo provides a bit of a personal touch, especially for those who are not familiar with 2017's Justice League heroes. The most notable snippet is Affleck teasing "the evolution of a new Batman" is coming:
“We see the evolution of a new Batman. Inspired by Superman’s sacrifice, he’s moved on from lone vigilante to recruiter and leader.”
Keywords, "Superman's sacrifice", are in part a result of the Dark Knight's anger and rage illustrated throughout ninety-nine percent of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice's 151 minute run time. According to Affleck, the Caped Crusader we'll see in the Justice League will feature a shift in attitude and the return of a "more traditional Batman. He’s heroic. He does things in his own way, but he wants to save people, help people.”
If we're talking modern day "traditional" and "heroic" then Michael Keaton's 'Batman' certainly warrants some homage-love.
Justice League hits theaters on November 17th!
