New Photo from Kong: Skull Island.
It looks like the upcoming Kong: Skull Island will be featuring even bigger creatures than the ones we've seen in previous Kong films. Warner Bros. and Legendary have recently released a new image (via EW) from this film. It shows Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson walking among the bones and skull of a gigantic primate.
"From the size of the skull, you can tell that things on this island is much bigger than audiences are used to with traditional Kong lore" film director Jordan Vogt-Roberts said. "In terms of actual size, our Kong is by far, the biggest Kong that you've ever seen. And that translates to a lot of different things on the island"
This version of Kong, which takes place in the 70's, will also take a different approach than the original. "We're very explicitly not telling the beauty and the beast story" Vogt-Roberts said.
While the plot of Kong: Skull Island is not yet known, the film have cast Tom Hiddleston as an ex-SAS tracker and Brie Larson as a war photographer. Samuel L. Jackson, Toby Kebbel and John Goodman are also cast in this film. Hiddleston and Larson are expected to appear in this year's Comic-Con and hopefully we'll get more details then.
