New Plot Details for 'Wolverine 3,' Titled 'Logan'
James Mangold's Wolverine sequel now has a title: Logan. The director uploaded a couple of script pages online, and the final Wolverine film will be based off of Old Man Logan, taking place in 2024.
The film will be darker than any other X-Men/Wolvering film, and Logan's powers aren't as reliable as they used to be. At times, they don't work at all. His body is sick, and he's heavily drinking (which wouldn't help matters.)
Professor X's powers are described as unstable, via Comicbook, and mutants are born very rarely. Xavier's memory is also fading, and he at times is unsure of who Logan even is.
Set for March 3, 2017, the film is starting to sound like a genuinely fascinating tale that has all the potential to sit up there with the best superhero films - the ones that manage to transcend the genre.
