THE PUNISHER: Episode titles revealed and new promo introduces you to a few friends and enemies
"Friends. Enemies. Frank Castle. Marvel's @ThePunisher is coming soon"
Now that introductions are out of the way, Marvel would like to introduce you to a few of Frank Castle's friends and enemies for the upcoming Netflix series The Punisher. Marvel's latest Tweet featured an ultra-smooth 38 second promo revealing some familiar characters in The Punisher canon, including ex-special forces and Castle best friend, "Billy Russo" (Ben Barnes), Castle ally and Daredevil alum "Karen Page" (Deborah Ann Woll), high ranking CIA officer "Rawlins" (Paul Schulze), Homeland Security Agent "Dinah Madani" (Amber Rose Revah), and former NSA analyst and Castle ally "Micro" (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). The promo ends with an intense head shot of Frank, followed up with a cryptic release date. If you are able to make out the release date, please share.
Cryptic release dates aside, Marvel wasn't done. Over at The Punisher's Twitter account, fans were treated to a series of cryptic Tweets that fell in a span of one hour, all in Morse code. Thanks to my handy Morse code decoder, it turns out Marvel/Netflix unveiled the titles for all 13 episodes! Here they are:
“3 AM”
“Two Dead Men”
“Kandahar”
“Resupply”
“Gunner”
“The Judas Goat”
“Crosshairs”
“Cold Steel”
“Front Toward Enemy”
“Virtue of the Vicious”
“Danger Close”
“Home”
“Memento Mori”
It's no secret this iteration of The Punisher will delve into Frank's past as an ex-marine and war veteran with titles "Kandahar," "Resupply," and "Gunner." The season finale title "Memento Mori" is latin for remember that you have to die. Perhaps a fitting title for what's to come for all of Frank's enemies.
The Punisher is created by Steven Lightfoot (Hannibal) and is based on Marvel's Punisher co-created by Gerry Conway and John Romita, Sr.
