No More 'The Night Manager' According to Hugh laurie, Tom Hiddleston
Fans of the BBC/AMC spy thriller The Night Manager may be disappointed with the news that Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston both see no future for the show.
The eight part series has been met with critical and commercial acclaim, without even arriving on U.S. shores yet, but Hiddleston believes the story feels complete, shunning season 2 speculation from fans.
"I only ever conceived of it as an adaptation of a complete novel by John le Carré. We made some alterations, we updated it so it had a political resonance and we changed the ending a little bit. I know the rumors about it extending, but none of that is real."
Laurie was blunt. "It's based on a novel, we've got to the end of the novel and John le Carré has yet to write another novel," said Laurie. "So in cold practical terms, no, we're done."
