Norman Reedus Reveals He Knows What Happens After The Walking Dead Credits, Gives Thoughts
Andrew Lincoln and showrunner Scott Gimple have been openly defensive of the cliffhanger ending that's left fans seething.
While a couple of semi-regular cast members have admitted that they don't know who departs the show following Negan's brutal beat-down (given that the scene hasn't seen completion in production yet), Norman Reedus has admitted that he knows exactly how it goes down.
"That finale was about the change of power," Reedus commented on The Today Show, during which he was promoting new film Sky before, as always, the conversation diverted to The Walking Dead.
"I think sometimes people think our show is survivor island and 'Who's gonna eat it this week?' but it's not and that episode was to show the change of power. Rick goes into that episode real confident and he comes out of it broken."
Reedus then confirmed that he knows what happens next. "Cliffhangers have been happening since the beginning of entertainment so it makes sense. I know what happens and it's gutwrenching to me." Of course, no more was said.
Daryl is one potential victim, as is, probably, Abraham and Glenn. Rick, Carl, and Maggie are safe (Maggie presumably). Of course, for now it's all speculation. And good or bad, the show has ensured it will remain in the thick of conversation until it returns in October.
