Norman Reedus Talks His New Series and 'The Walking Dead'
Norman Reedus is a motorcycle lover. That's abundantly clear. So, stemming from his trademark in The Walking Dead, AMC now have Ride with Norman Reedus, a reality show following Reedus as he explores the U.S. on bike with a host of guest appearances.
The 6-episode series will start off in a different city each week and takes off up the Pacific Coast Highway and through Death Valley, the Appalchias, Florida and more during its air time. The series premiered last night, and Reedus spoke with Deadline on the show and his other little show.
"Joel Stillerman came to me with the idea of teh show. I said, "yes, yes, yes" because I didn't want him to change his mind and do it with someone else. I was super excited because, you know, I probably would have spent some of my vacation doing some of this stuff already.
"I meet people all the time and I talk with them and stuff but... I was just trying to be open to whatever was going to be thrown my way. You know, I'm taking it as it goes."
He signifies it as a learning experience. "I'm definitely not an expert in any of this, I'm just as enthusiast and I'm learning too." He does say that he'd love to take the show overseas, though the powers that be might not see the show past its 6-episode mini-series limit
On The Walking Dead, Reedus teases a brand new world. "You see a shift of power completely on our show. And you see a lot of people who’ve gone through a whole lot, having to bite their tongue for a minute and deal with this new world and this new villain. If you know the comic books, it opens up even larger than that."
