Official Title for Underworld 5 Announced.
It's a bit hard to believe that the first Underworld came out in 2003. There have been four movies since with Underworld: Awakening released in 2012 being the last. And now Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment have announced the title of the fifth installment of the series Underworld: Blood Wars.
Kate Beckinsale will reprise her role as the vampire Selene and Theo James and Charles Dance will also return for more lycan (werewolves) vs. vampire bitefest. The plot is still unknown at this point but in this fifth installment, the vampires have a new leader, portrayed by Lara Pulver (Sherlock) and the werewolves are led by a formidable Lycan portrayed by Tobias Menzies (Outlander)
Blood Wars is directed by Anna Foester who has helmed Outlander and Criminal Minds. She was also the director of photography for Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. Filming has wrapped for Underworld: Blood Wars. The film is expected to hit theatres on October 12, 2016.
