One Big Joker Theory has Just Been Shot Down by 'Suicide Squad' Director David Ayer
Suicide Squad has been a big feature in the news every day for quite some time now, so it's really about time that we get to see the thing (which is out in just over a week).
Ever since news started leaking out, in conjunction with the lead up to Batman v Superman, a major theory has had the Joker persona being assumed by former Robin Jason Todd, and that subsequently Jared Leto's Joker was not the real thing in a sense. The theory would push a deeper connection between Batman and the Joker.
David Ayer has chopped down that theory, shutting it down without ease. “It ain’t the case. He’s not.” In one fell swoop, Ayer destroys any hopes that Jason Todd would assume the Joker identity in Suicide Squad.
