'Outcast' set to Premiere via Facebook Live in European and African Markets
Fox is taking a new, experimental approach to the debut of the upcoming horror exorcism drama Outcast, adapted from The Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman's comic book series of the same name.
The series will premiere its first episode via Facebook Live in 61 countries across the European and African markets. It's the first time any broadcaster in these nations will use the service as a launching pad for a new drama.
Having used Facebook Live to promote X-Men: Apocalypse, the first episode of Kirkman's series will run on the service in regions including the U.K., Italy, Spain, Poland, South Africa, Germany, Sweden, and Turkey.
This preview will be followed by regular airings on Fox from June 3. It has already been renewed for a second season and will air on Cinemax from June 3.
