Paramount Moves in on Bumblebee Transformers Spin-Off With a Completed Script in Hand
Paramount Pictures holds in its hand a script that it believes is a winner, and shortly a director will be sought after for the first spin-off in the endless line of Transformers pictures.
Michael Bay has assembled a writers room dedicated to hashing out the Hasbro universe. Christina Hodson is the writer who cracked the Bumblebee story, which is set for 2018. She's one of just two female writers on the team, and has three films landed on the Black List previously.
Since moving to writing four years ago, she's taken major strides, and is working on an untitled DCEU feature film for Warner Bros. So too, she's busy writing a pilot adapting Japanese crime novel Out as a potential series for AMC.
