'Pokemon: The First Movie' Returning to Theaters for a Limited Time
The very first Pokemon film ever is returning to 200 theaters for two special screenings on October 29 and November 1st. Titled Pokemon: The First Movie, it marked the introduction of both Mewtwo and Mew.
The film is iconic for its tragic portrayal of Pokemon taking on their clone counterparts, ending in possibly the most tear-inducing visual of Pikachu the show has ever conjured up.
Cinemark are re-releasing the picture, and screenings will include Pikachu's Vacation, a short film that accompanied the release. At the time of its release, the film received pretty cold reviews, but still earned $160 million at the box office. Tickets for the re-release will be sold at $5 each.
