'Preacher' Ratings Up for Season Finale
With Preacher literally cleaning the slate and setting off into sunnier pastures with its season 1 finale, it looks like the AMC series has bolstered its viewership with its closer, showing promise for the second season in 2017.
The finale drew its biggest crowd since its episode back on June 2, though still 28% down from its May 22 pilot. The finale drew 1.722 million total viewers with 765,000 among adults 18-49, a 10% increase in viewers from the penultimate episode.
The episode nudges the show up to a 1.711 million season average and puts it in the top 10 overall cable dramas of the year. It has averaged around 803,000 among the 25-54 age demographic.
A 13-episode second year is on the way in summer 2017.
