Ralph Fiennes and Hugh Laurie Join Will Ferrell Comedy 'Holmes and Watson'
Ralph Fiennes and Hugh Laurie have joined Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the upcoming comedy Holmes and Watson. While their roles in the film are unclear at this stage, Sony revealed the projec tback in August last year. It will be Ferrell and Reilly's third collaboration after Talladega Nights and Step Brothers.
Etan Cohen is directing the film from a script he's written, which follows the duo facing off against enemies across the globe. It's a pretty vague premise. It's being produced by Mosaic and Gary Sanchez.
Sherlock Holmes is a property everyone seems to want a piece of, and we don't live in an age that's wanting for Holmes. From Warner Bros. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law-starring films from 2009 and 2011, to BBC's Benedict Cumberbatch series.
