'Rambo' Reboot Won't Feature Stallone, Gets Title and Director
THR is reporting that Nu Image and Millennium Films are moving ahead with their Rambo reboot, which will be titled Rambo: New Blood, and is being written by Brooks McLaren (How It Ends).
The Iceman and Criminal director Ariel Vromen is at the helm of the reboot, which will not feature Sylvester Stallone in the defining role. Instead, a younger actor will be sought for the role. The studios look at the character as one "akin to James Bond."
Still in early development, THR reports no details on the plot are known at this time.
There was talk of a TV series some time ago, as well as a fifth Stallone-led film a few years back, which never panned out.
