Roger Moore, Iconic 007 Actor, Dead at 89
Sir Roger Moore, the legendary English actor known for his role as James Bond, has died at the age of 89.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer,” his three children wrote in a statement posted on Twitter.
Born in London in 1927, Moore studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and went on to star in a total of seven James Bond films; more films than any other actor to date between 1973 and 1985 including Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me.
