'Rogue One' Closing in on $900 Million Worldwide
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story continues to dominate worldwide markets, having now reached $838.3 million after just three weeks in theaters. It's earned $445.2 million in its first 21 days domestically, and trails only Finding Dory in 2016 releases for U.S. totals.
It's become the eleventh-highest earning film of all time on domestic shores, only trailing Avengers: Age of Ultron by under $4 million. With a launch on Friday in China, there's every likelihood that the film will continue to soar up the ladder in worldwide figures, particularly given that The Force Awakens saw a $124 million take in the middle kingdom.
