'Rogue One' earns $17.7 Million on Monday
Backing up its successful opening weekend, Rogue One has earned the fourth best Monday of December box office tally ever, taking in $17.7 million. It only sits behind The Force Awakens, which holds two of those spots for December 21 and 28, and Avatar.
The Force Awakens, of course, earned $40.1 million and $31.3 million on those two days, so there's a big difference. Currently, Rogue One sits at a total of $172.7 million.
Rogue One will go up against new releases Sing, Assassin's Creed, and Passengers in the coming week.
