Rumour: An Iconic Star Wars Character is set to Appear in 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'
A German website, Jedi-Bibliotek' is reporting that, having acquired pages from a tie-in book titled Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: The Official Visual Story Guide, a massive character is set to make his mark in the upcoming spin-off film.
It appears that, as has been rumoured for some time, Darth Vader will be appearing in Gareth Edwards' prequel film. This comes with news that two new spacecrafts will feature, not to mention character names for major characters have been revealed.
Ben Mendelssohn is playing an Imperial officer named Director Krennic; Diego Luna will be a Rebel officer named Captain Cassian Andor; Riz Ahmed is Bodhi, a fellow Rebel soldier; Jiang Wen plays Baze, a “freelance assassin;” Donnie Yen is Chirrut, a “spiritual warrior.”
Darth Vader makes sense theoretically to appear in this film, though fears from die-hard fans that this might taint his original trilogy aren't unwarranted.
