Russo Brothers Talk Black Widow Solo Film, Wolverine in the Marvel Universe
it's an oft-debated topic that Black Widow in the eyes of many has earned herself a solo film, given her prominence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the voices only get louder and louder for a Scarlett Johansson-lead film as we head into the next phase.
Black Widow yesterday topped a Fandango poll taken of fans who had pre-purchased Civil War tickets. The poll asked who they would like to be the subject of a solo film, and Black Widow scored 48% of the vote. Vision came second with 15%. If this isn't a case of 'give the people what they want'...
Recently Kevin Feige teased the possibility, and the Russo brothers have now hinted there might be some surprises to come. " It’s a no-brainer, right?" said Anthony regarding the possibility. " I don’t think [it’ll take] much. I think it’s just a function of where on the slate it goes. She’s a bad-ass," Joe added.
In the interview, both brothers stated Wolverine as a favourite they'd love to see come across into the Marvel Cinematic fold. "First favorite character growing up was Spider-Man, second was Wolverine," Joe said. Well, the first one's out of the way.
