Ryan Murphy's Latest FX Anthology Series 'Feud' Adds Co-Showrunner, Jackie Hoffman to Cast
Longtime American Horror Story collaborator Tim Minear has joined Ryan Murphy's Feud, the creator's latest anthology series for FX Networks. Also joining the series is Jackie Hoffman, set to play a role in the eight-episode first season.
The first season tells the story of the legendary rivalry between two of the greatest movie stars of all time - Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon), and how they came together in 1962 to create a film that would hopefully revive their careers.
Hoffman will play Joan Crawford's housekeeper. She joins Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis, and Dominic Burgess. Minear, meanwhile, will co-showrun, and has been involved with American Horror Story from the beginning.
“I’ve loved working with Tim since the very first season of American Horror Story and he’s been the perfect partner on Feud,” Murphy said. “I’m as excited about this project as any I’ve ever done.”
Production begins this fall for a 2017 premiere.
