Ryan Reynolds on Losing Director Tim Miller for 'Deadpool 2'
Ryan Reynolds has commented on the departure of Tim Miller from the sequel to this year's major hit, and there's plenty of diplomacy behind his words.
“All I can really add is that I’m sad to see him off the film,” Reynolds told GQ during an interview. “Tim’s brilliant and nobody worked harder on Deadpool than he did.”
The split was on good terms, it seems, with Miller at the helm of sci-fi adaptation Influx for Fox. Reports have suggested that the falling out was between Miller and Reynolds, however, with them having opposing ideas on what they wanted the sequel to be.
On the first film, he said that, despite the entire team being committed to one vision impacting on the film's ultimate success, "there were vaguely scary fights in the post-production process that escalated quickly. Luckily, everybody’s grown up and at the end of the day enjoys and loves each other."
