Ryan Reynolds Reportedly Closes the Deal on 'Deadpool' Sequel
While previous reports suggest that star Ryan Reynolds had already signed on for a sequel to Fox's massively successful Deadpool film, having made $2 million upfront, they also suggested that his agents at WME were looking at a renegotiation of his contract.
That change would see a larger payday going forward in the franchise, which comes as no surprise given its status as one of the highest grossing R-rated films of all time.
Heroic Holiday is now reporting that a deal has been reached, and while no details have been brought to light, the deal will have locked Reynolds in for the sequel, set to begin filming this fall.
The film arrives on Blu-ray May 10.
