Sarah Paulson Re-Teams with Ryan Murphy for FX's 'Feud' Hollywood Period Drama
Prolific television creator Ryan Murphy has revealed via Twitter that Sarah Paulson has been cast as Geraldine Page in the upcoming anthology series Feud on FX.
The series marks Murphy's third anthology for the network, following American Horror Story and American Crime Story. The series will star Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, along with Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess.
It is the story of the legendary rivalry between two of the biggest movie stars of all time, Joan Crawford (Lange) and Bette Davis (Sarandon) and how they came together in 1962 to collaborate on a picture that they hoped would revive their careers.
Based on a true story, the resulting film eventually received five Academy Award nominations and became a cult classic, titled What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Paulson, meanwhile, won two Emmy nominations for her work in The People v. O.J. Simpson, and has appeared in all three of Murphy's shows as a recurring actor.
